Bengali new year is approaching soon and it will be on 14 April. This dish is one of the popular dish in Bengali New year.
People from West Bengal Calcutta also cooked this dish.I live in abroad so it’s not very easy for me to get that Hilsa fish. But this year I thought to make this one for us

.I exactly followed how mom used to cook 👩🍳 Elish paturi or Elish macher bora.When mom cooked this when I was in country, I became so happy . Don’t know how mom made this one. She has a magic on her hands and she indulge us by preparing her best recipes.

You know we Bengali people never end our food except dal ar bhat that means dal soup with rice. This one is the final touch of our dinner.In Bengali every house they can’t complete there lunch or dinner without 4 to 5 items
. For my mom it was 7 items altogether everyday. These all foods are for lunch and dinner. Mom you are really great.But you know our young generation and we move to abroad but doesn’t matter because we also try to do the same things not for that we want to follow but for our habits. Habit can’t be grow with in one or two days. It’s take a long time!Every time when I went to kitchen I thought ( na Baba Nah, atto cook 👩🍳 korbo nah) only 1 item I will cook.
